Cricket Equipment every player should have.

Cricket bat – your main tool for scoring runs. A personal bat ensure consistency in feel and performance.

There are two types of bats.

  • Kashmiri Willow – Kashmiri willow bats are durable, affordable, and suitable for all levels of play, especially for beginners and casual players, due to their density and budget friendly as compared to English willow. Kashmiri willow bats are made up of Salix alba caerulea tree in the Kashmir region.
  • English willow – English willow bats are high quality bats . These bats are made up from Salix alba tree, known for its strength, durability, and performance. It is the preferred choice for professional and serious players.

Cricket Ball – is a hard ball use to play cricket.

Types of balls

  1. Leather ball – use in professional cricket or local professional cricket. Its has raised seam in the middle which helps to bowlers swing and spin the ball. Leather ball comes in three colours Red ball(use in test matches and  sometime in local matches/Tournaments),White ball(used in limited over matches & night matches),Pink ball(use in Day-night test matches).
  2. Tennis ball – use in gully cricket,tennis cricket tournaments. it’s soft and safe and best for beginner. Professional player use this ball for shot practice,timeing.
  3. Rubber ball – it made up of rubber. This ball is unpredictable use for practice & street cricket best for reflexes, fielding  and carry high bounce as compared to leather ball and tennis ball.
  4. Soft / Wind ball – this ball is very soft use in indoor & beginners best for kids and beginner.

Helmet – helmet is a protective gear comes with metal grill to protect your head, forehead, temples and face. Its use by batsman, wicket keeper and close fielder.

Types of helmet.

  2. Adjustable grill helmet
  3. Titanium grill hemet(lightweight)

Batting gloves – Batting glove are also protective gear use by batsman to protect hands and improving grip during batting.

Types of batting gloves.

  1. Cotton gloves – use for beginners and tennis ball.
  2. Batting inner gloves – its use for sweat control.
  3. Professionl batting gloves – use in leather ball matches.

Chest guard –  use by batsman to protect the chest and ribs from high speed bal.

Types of chest guard.

  1. Traditional chest guard  –  its has front chest protection
  2.  Rib guard  –  its has side ribs protection
  3.  Combo chest + rib guard  –  its has maximum safety protect both chest and ribs.

Thigh pads – use by batsman to protect the upper leg(thigh area) from the ball.

Types of thigh pads.

  1. Outr thigh pad – it has only front thigh protection.
  2. Inner thigh pads – it has only inner thigh protection.
  3. Combo thigh pad – it has max protection(both inner & outer thigh protection).

Leg guards – use by batsman and wicket keeper to protect the leg(shin,knee,lower leg).

  2. Wicket keeper pads – it use by wicket keeper pads.

Elbow guard – this is protective gear use by batsman to protect the elbow area from the ball.

Types of elbow guard.

  1. Single side elbow guard –  it has only front protection.
  2. Wrap around elbow guard – it has full coverage .
  3. Integrated arm guard – it has elbow + forearm protection.

Abdominal guard – an abdominal guard wear by batsman and wicket keeper to protect the groin area from the ball.
